My birthday is in 10 days, and I'm deciding to spend part of the stream FINALLY playing through one of a couple of Puyo games that's been in my backlog for a few years. We'll do this and some Mario Kart World online (no lounge)!

Day 3.5 of Puyo 20th Anniversary grind. After I rqed stream, I degenned until my hands and my brain gave up. This was great consistency practice, despite the AI being broken.
Today was also a practice day, and I labbed out a couple of fights where I can use Hard Drop (insta drop). 👀
Day 3 of Puyo 20th Anniversary grind. Today was a long day, and my mental was shot by Mario Kart World. This is a sloppy world record, but the first 3 spits were masterclass. I'll go for a perfect run eventually.
Currently 3/5 for WRs in the game; the full sweep is almost done.
Day 2 of the Puyo 20th Anniversary grind. The Stupid Frog struck again, but considering how heavily nerfed the All Clear chances were throughout this run, this was 3 minutes slower than Very Easy. Goal is to sub 2:40 in both Normal and Hard. I can definitely do it.
Day 1 of the Puyo 20th Anniversary grind. This run had crazy luck, both in All Clears, accidentally high chaining, and getting owned by Frog Stacking (stupid frog, nice luck). Definitely a good warmup to build endurance for better decision-making.
We're setting an Easy Difficulty time tomorrow.
streamposting this once since the next couple of days will be a Puyo grind twitch.tv/peassmb
We MIGHT be returning to Puyo speedruns this week with a certain Anniversary game that I have not uploaded a time for! Perhaps we will get one, maybe multiple WRs before my birthday, lol.
Nevermind Champions apparently sucks. Guess I'm not getting the game until they drop a massive update.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If Pokémon Champions has a single-player good for speedrunning, best bet I'm getting in on that.
I learned this game off and on, then recently decided to challenge a time that was 9 years old. In such little time, inclusive of crashouts, I have successfully beat the previous record by 19 seconds.
As of Super Monkey Ball Adventure, I now have world records in 6 different Monkey Ball games.
Imagine getting a deathless run of Adventure just to lose to WR by 7 seconds that has a singular death. :)
I'm gonna propose a challenge to everyone doing the Speedrun Backlog post.
I want you to choose a game that youve posted, and I want you to do a run of it. It doesn't have to be optimal and you don't have to do research to prepare.
Just do at least 1 run and then share it with the rest of us.
This image shows PeasSMB's Summer Games Done Quick 2026 submissions of Pokémon Battle Revolution and SEGA AGES Puyo Puyo. For Pokémon Battle Revolution, Peas wants to showcase a challenge run of All Masters Battles with Pokémon transferred from the DS games. SEGA AGES Puyo Puyo will primarily be a quick run of Puyo Puyo 1, but the audience can donate to force Peas to run Puyo Puyo 2, thus speedrunning two Puyo games in less than 30 minutes.
Peas is also submitting three different Super Monkey Ball games, one of which is a new submission of his. Super Monkey Ball Adventure turns 20 this year, and Peas has been wanting to learn All Difficulties for quite some time. Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD is Peas' main speedgame, holding all 5 of the Main Game world records. Lastly, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe is a more recent game Peas has been showcasing.
Finally got these done! Feels nice not only bringing back a category I have worked tremendously hard in, but also learning a Monkey Ball game that happens to be quite silly.
girl are you an Xbox? because you are the One for me- no? man, I thought that pickup line was Original.

Fun fact, I have deliberately not learned SMB2 due to it being the most saturated game of the bunch (at least imo), and the most time-consuming to practice. I also find other Monkey Ball games more engaging for me. I could be a Challenge Mode main since Story Mode is the primary category.
I have been learning Orre Colosseum for quite some time, and I think I have the team together! Just need to sit down and build them the hard way.
The modern Sonic Racing games, excluding TSR. CrossWorlds has definitely opened a door for me to learn these, as I grew up with Riders. Also, the DS missions were genuinely fun, so maybe another challenge run is on the rise.
I have yet to play Puyo Chronicle; it's collecting digital dust. I've heard mixed feelings about the game, so of course I am going to do a meme run of this at some point.
Another Marvel game that I would like to speedrun in the future. My mom really liked the 2005 movie, so she randomly got me the game on GBA a couple of years later; I do have the GameCube version, too, but I need that itch to play through these games again.
3D Blast... oh, boy... the 90s Sonic game I would be WILLING to learn, both Flickies and No Flickies. The boss fight strats are spectacular, and the overall movement of the game... chef's kiss.
Also doing the Advance games in one post! Advance 2 was also my very first video on YouTube WAY BACK IN THE DAY. Watching speedruns of these games are satisfying, even with its spammable amount of crushers.
Doing the Stadium games in 1 post. I've had plans to do Gym Leader Castle with transferred Pokémon but that requires routing the AI patterns and building multiple teams. Definitely harder than Battle Revolution.
Smash 64 has been rising up in popularity recently due to Smash Remix, but I saw a 100% speedrun of this a couple of years ago, and you can beat this game in less than an hour! Have thought about doing this for some time, maybe for its 30th anniversary.
Yeah, the speedrun for this is absolutely egregious but these games became more accessible than ever, and I can use the Switch versions for speedruns now!! My carts can be used for competitive purposes only (XD/Colosseum Orre Colosseum).
I have played maybe 3 minutes of Rayman Legends, but I saw this while shopping with friends this past AGDQ, and they were like "We found your next kart racer."
Also needed to increase my Original Xbox library a bit.
Respectfully, it's hard for me to want to speedrun Banana Rumble, as I enjoy the multiplayer aspect of the game more than the main game itself. You can beat the game without Spin-Dashing, but the stage designs lost taste for me the more I played the game.
My favorite Sonic game of all time. I did an IL of Team Dark Frog Forest to learn the Bop Boost tech... definitely would do an LTS run of this someday.
