The warning signs have been there for years now. If Democrats keep ignoring their censorship problem around Palestine it’s going to cost them. There’s been a generational shift on this issue.

Truly remarkable night
The thing about the photo of the IDF soldier beheading a statue of Jesus in south Lebanon is that the Israeli military has an effectively near 0% conviction rate for its soldiers and so this will just keep happening over and over and over and over. This is simply what unlimited impunity breeds.
Huge repudiation of the University’s anti-speech crackdowns. This was improbable.
Marwan Barghouti is the most popular Palestinian alive and has expressed support for a partition along the pre June 1967 borders into a separate state.
Barghouti has been in Israeli jail for two decades and is routinely tortured and even threatened with murder by Israeli politicians and guards.
Israel destroyed every bridge in South Lebanon. Today, some Lebanese created makeshift bridges and risked their lives just to cross into a few parts of the South and see their homes again. Israel has ethnically cleansed a third of Lebanon and vowed that our families will never be allowed to return.
@nytpitchbot.bsky.social a gift from the heavens
Amazing that this happened today. Justice for Rachel ❤️
It's long past time we stopped sending Israel weapons to enable war crimes. Tonight's vote shows how fast the ground has shifted - and will continue to shift.
40 Democrats in the Senate voted to block arms sales to Israel. Chuck Schumer voted for the weapons against the wishes of nearly 90% of his caucus. Schumer is voting with MAGA during one of the most grotesque chapters in modern American history. A total failure of a leader.
If you live in Michigan, please call Senators Slotkin and Peters and ask them to support the Sanders resolutions to block arms sales to the Israeli military. So many families' lives depend on it, including my own.
Peters: (202) 224-6221
Slotkin: (202) 224-4822
Today Israel Bonds continue to fund the Israeli government’s campaign of displacement, ethnic cleansing, and genocide in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
I can't fully describe the sensation of watching sentient adults use phrases like "the chief exporter of terror." It's like watching someone bash their head against a brick wall repeatedly. You want to do anything possible to rescue their faculties for them. But alas, you can only watch.
We are in an utterly terrifying moment.
All of this refers to Israel, in case that’s not clear. Israel’s war on Lebanon. Israeli warplanes. Israeli missiles. Fear—inflicted by Israel. In case anyone doesn’t understand NYT English.
It’s just remarkable.

People dislike bullying and censorship. And Dem leaders have long participated in the suppression of pro-Palestinian viewpoints. In the commercial media, it's been a near blackout for decades. Social media changed everything, which is why Bibi has said the "most important weapons" are the platforms.
Also, as the Israeli state has become even more violent, racist, and expansionist in recent decades, pro-Israel political orgs in the U.S. have had to adopt ever more aggressive tactics of suppression (e.g. anti-BDS laws, blacklists and firings, etc) that are so obviously against free speech.
Wars abroad are worsening the affordability crisis at home. These wars are also deeply unpopular, and their unpopularity cuts across traditional divides. So why haven't progressives fully embraced anti-war politics? I'm asking sincerely, because I don't get it.
What on earth.
The answer? 1 hour!
a “ceasefire” that lasted 17 hours and killed 254 people in lebanon is not a ceasefire and referring to it as one is inaccurate
I simply think that no American President and in fact no human being at all should ever have the capacity to destroy civilization and it is sheer madness that we exist in a world where this is possible even when that isn’t foremost in our minds and headlines
The unanimous bipartisan consensus in American foreign policy is that Israel needs to have the right and ability to launch airstrikes on any target they wish within 500 km at any time for any reason, and that this is a foundational bedrock for achieving regional peace and stability.
What are the principles of the Oslo Accords
Our special allies decided to fulfill Trump’s genocidal threat in Lebanon instead. This is how they’re protesting the ceasefire.
can't answer the question because the honest answer that exists on the ground right now--formal, legal Jewish supremacy and apartheid--is too brutal to face
