Honestly, if I look okay at 70 or 80kg, I'd be happy with that. I don't have a goal number for what I'd be happy with, I have a goal size. I've never been at a healthy weight in my adult life, so I don't know what that looks like for me.

Here's hoping I achieve it for myself in the next 2 years. :)

Fair point. Yeah, I don’t think I want to go below 20%.

... What constitutes "super lean"? Asking because I'm starting a weight loss journey and the TDEE calculator is telling me the ideal weight is 62-64 kg for a woman of my age/height.

One thing I don't miss about the Yukon?

The public transit schedules on Apple Maps are NOT up to date and recommends routes/schedules that no longer exist. I need to re-acclimate myself to the public transit here.

As a trans woman, lemme just say I'm so glad I haven't had breast augmentation around this time, during the Bryon Nome revelations. I guess there's an upside to the roadblocks in my transition.

So, someone should tell Elon Musk that Trump said that Erika Kirk should sue Druski for parodying her phony "grief" act. After all, that would be proof positive that it's the position of the White House that comedy is not, in fact, legal.

Wonder why Hugh Laurie is playing in a Harry Potter audiobook. Was this just a substitute for not being able to voice an audiobook version of Mein Kampf?

I will henceforth be referring to the puberty I was forced to undergo as a minor as "The Agony".

It just feels more apt.

I’m Supposed to be Visible Today — But Why? Every year I wonder if visibility and joy are the same thing. And every year I am more and more convinced that the answer is no.

It's Trans Day of Visibility and I wrote about how visibility without protection is a trap, and it often seems like the loudest calls for us to be visible are coming from those who have done nothing to protect us.

OMG! The talk therapy form of "conversion therapy" is most *definitely* abuse! As a psychotherapist myself, I have seen how that abuse leads to suicidality & longlasting trauma.

Sorry, but I have no patience with those who don't consider the human brain to be part of the physical body.

Hey did you know I'm trans? You probably already knew this if you're already following me but *shrug*

I make comics that also sometimes include trans people, you can see them all for free on egypt.urnash.com, and throw spare cash my way at comradery.co/egypturnash or www.patreon.com/egypturnash

Kinda think maybe the reason Americans don’t use “You alright?” as a greeting the way the Brits do is that too many of us would answer honestly

Feels. There is a reason why I have a Masters in CS and yet, almost all my job applications since I left the States have been for non-tech roles.

The modern web sucks. My band's website doesn't. YouTube video by Veronica Explains

So, I'm looking to bring my website back online, but I don't want to host it in the US or with a US company. And also... I'm not happy with the direction #WordPress is going. I hate #JavaScript and I feel like doing something... different with my next website.

I have a whole, huge-ass file from when the IRB was running DARVO on my ass, claiming the US was a safe country, while legislatures are doing shit like this.

I spent five years fighting, ultimately lost, and had to get sponsored to come back. I'm glad I have PR and don't have to go back to the US.

"You can be thrilled by all the things that are happening and horrified by all the things that should be happening but aren’t. Everything we can save is worth saving. Everything we can do is worth doing. We’ve already lost a lot, but we don’t have to lose everything. We don’t have to surrender.'

“I don’t want to wear a mask all the time” Alright. Would you please wear it sometimes? Sometimes > never. Like just keep one in your bag, and put it on when you’re in an extra crowded place maybe?

A classic anti-masker tactic is to claim that if you don't wear a mask 100% of the time, it isn't worth it. Untrue. Every single time you wear a mask, you reduce the chances for viruses to spread. Wearing a mask always improves public health, even if you only do it occasionally.

And keep in mind, I know what this means in practice.

I know that to avoid US airspace, I'll need to fly from Canada to Europe in order to be able to safely travel... to Tijuana, Mexico to get certain medical care I can't get in Canada.

I concur.

I refuse to even fly in US airspace because the prospect of being forced to make an emergency landing in a place where I might not be able to get adequate or compassionate health care is too risky for me.
