I will not be referencing other artists online! I'm deeply afraid* of being misconstrued as style biting (and have been for at least a decade lol) Which has led me to...hiding under a rock and not making much of anything. It's bad!

*paranoia based solely on witnessing others experiences online--

My focus is mainly retrospective: revisiting movements in art history without the academic pressure, nostalgia for cartoons/toys/stationery i grew up with, and diving deeper into those periods to catch what I missed.

And even though part of that growing up includes being online from the mid 00s--

• I am against AI use, always have been & shall be. Everything you see here comes from my grimy lil hands. My work is NOT to be used in training AI/ML models
• if I share these studies, they will be attributed properly
• they will not include artists within the fandom or other indies online!

While I'm at it, big BIG disclaimer that I'm in a period of style study & experimentation to remember what made me want to pursue art in the first place. Which means you're gonna see my "style"(s) shift around & jump between different influences as I go through them. But please note:

I haven't shared it much here but my beginning art practice growing up was hugely influenced by 90s manga and traditional inking techniques. I got super embarrassed about it in art school and tried to leave it behind! It was a weird time then. Now I'm revisiting stuff I grew up with and loved.

The latest plush donkey is all done, and it is looking absolutely gorgeous! I love the tan color combination and the striped leg design. Sewing the leg markings was a bit of a chore, butI have a feeling that we will see more stripes in the future. 🥰🪡🧵🧶
