@maddogbakes.bsky.social Well, I’ve been avoiding social media to protect my sanity, but been baking all the while. I love the lack of politics inherent in the sourdough game… Today’s Mad Dog Bakes, ‘Mystery Cheese’ loaves. Remnants of cheese from holiday parties…

I was born and raised in Mt. Shasta and these log dogs were not used too around our area much as they were mostly used for rafting logs together...

Potomac Mid Air Collision DCA 1/29/25 YouTube video by blancolirio

There appears to be a ton of misinformation out there about the interaction of the Blackhawk and the passenger plane. Blancolirio has solid details. Please don't spread info if you don't know the actual facts...

Trout Porn. Years ago, a neighbor of mine, who traveled extensively with weapons, brought these back from Africa as a gift. I never asked him why he packed up rifles whenever he left, as my imagination was far more fun than whatever the truth might have been... #troutporn #mercenary

@bfaballooning.bsky.social great to see BFA on the sky. This is a pic of our first PR piece when we were just starting out. Our company ‘Aerostat’ was a great chapter in our lives… #bfaballooning #sonomavalley #hotairballoon

When we had our retail display company we went to the Outdoor Retailer and the Flyfishing Retailer shows several times a year so now these smaller shows let me stay up on equipment and the biz. I miss having a blue ribbon trout stream minutes from my front door , so still worth the effort for me.

Lancaster, PA | The Fly Fishing Show

Just booked a room at the Marriott for the Lancaster Flyfishing Show. Small show, but I miss the Outdoor Retailer and Flyfishing Retailer trade shows. Anybody else gonna be there?

Ecowood Days. I made several versions of the Uma table over the years. Gave them all away for non profit fundraisers. The Redwood in this version has about 30 years growth/inch. Old growth Redwood from Northern California is one of nature’s wonders…. #oldgrowthredwood #umatable #ecowooddesigns

Ecowood Days. The "Tank Table" was built using old growth Redwood reclaimed from 2 water tanks at Camp Pendelton, originally built in the 40's when you could still source clear Redwood. We build a ton of great furniture from that amazing wood. #camppendelton #oldgrowthredwood #ecowooddisplays

Ecowood days. Timing is everything. We started Ecowood Displays right before 9/11. We had one large project that didn’t cancel, Stone Canyon Outfitters in Castle Rock, CO. That job kept us going while the world held its breath…

We did quite a few projects for the NPS and the the vendors in the park. The best time to work in the park is during the winter shut down. No tourists and weather permitting, easy getting around.
