But only one Labour PM was successful enough to fire him twice.
People have loved having Green councillors in Byker, Elswick, Jesmond and Ouseburn. They want more!
Itβs hard work but with street clean ups, money off district heating bills and more support for anti-poverty groups, itβs clear @nclgreenparty.bsky.social gets results for our communities!
*thunk* another arrow goes in, he twists, but he doesn't fall...
I did not! Will check it out π
Whole thread is worth reading but this is a really striking set of numbers on a huge change in society over the last fifty years
I'm seeing this in a couple of days, will share thoughts!
I often say Iβm not here to police how anyone else chooses to drive change in the ecosystem of change making.
The changemaking methods anyone chooses all work in concert.
And legal challenges, community support and direct action are all important.
I found learning to ride a bike without stabilisers incredibly frustrating as a child and in the end it boiled down to me just pushing with my feet and balancing, exactly as kids now do on balance bikes, except that having pedals there sort of gets in the way
The Green Party election fundraiser has only been up two days and already it has Β£65,000.
Much needed money against the hundreds of thousands/millions the far right parties; Labour, Tory & Reform will be spending from their obscenely rich donors. So please contribute if you can.
Look, for my money the absolute game changer technologies right now are batteries and biosciences, not statistically modeling a mid conversation, but you do you.
We need to win big on May 7.
Thousands of Green candidates are standing across England and Wales.
This is a real chance to change politics - to give communities a stronger voice and challenge parties backed by big money.

When I chipped in a coupla Ponies to this @greenparty.org.uk crowdfund yesterday it was still in 3 figures. Now it is nearly Β£40,000!
It is important, even if you can only manage a Lady or an Ayrton, lots of us together make a big difference.

Fabulousness. Art. Creativity. All of it.
I know this is not generally the kind of post that anthropologists are invited to but I wanted to add: every sci-fi novel in the world with alien intelligent life is like "this whole planet (one biome) is populated by a single 'Culture,' it is driven by a high sense of 'Honor'"
Peter mandelsons entire career is like a cursed pharaohs amulet that kills everyone that tries to use its power and every other week some Labour party idiot picks up and goes have we tried using the pharaohs amulet
Yessssss when I've looked back through notebooks in the past I've been amazed how many times I've rediscovered the same idea π
I get that people say "if lefties criticise Starmer it just paves the way for Farage."
What's the alternative? Ignore incompetence and corruption? Let it become normalised, just in time for the far right to enter govt and REALLY go to town?
I'm gonna criticise ANYBODY incompetent or corrupt.
This sounds right to me. I grew up eating at Pizza Express, but I'm pretty sure when I did go to Pizza Hut as a child that kind of fat pizza was the norm
I'm pleased to announce I'm a founding co-editor of the new @manchesterup.bsky.social book series, Radical Histories.
Do let me know if you have a proposal for a book that fits our inclusive remit on radical histories.

Early modern historians! ποΈ What book(s) would you particularly recommend for understanding early 17thC France, especially in a global context?
I'm sure these things do vary, and we've been very happy so far with the service we've received in Gateshead, and I hope other areas are learning from how things are done here
Or a role playing game. Maybe an idea the royals could consider actually, just a big old D&D session for a group of leading nerds
As a father to be, I read a fair way into this thinking "that doesn't sound right, lots of guidance we've received has been about parents as a team not just the one giving birth" before realising this was about Australia not the UK. Eg I can say I've been asked about my mental health multiple times
Yeah plenty of people working in universities don't realise even
This is unfortunately still relevant so please do share with anyone who is looking for a tutor/lecturer in early modern history or freelance researcher.
