That’s good to know, because I didn’t watch it either, but wouldn’t have liked it :)

Great piece.
I just watched a man in a mini digger load some gravel into a wheelbarrow held by a second man. When the gravel fell, the wheelbarrow man lost control, the wheelbarrow fell over and shed the gravel onto the floor and I quietly smiled at the futility of existence.
What is it about dishwashers that think they don’t have to dry Tupperware?
I still have a little radio tuned to R4 on bathroom windowsill, the other day I was thinking how much I used to look forward to switching it on to find out what was happening. Now, a smartphone has changed everything, but nonetheless I daren’t switch it on during Today because I know I’ll combust.
£2. ?
No way!
He really is the fool of fools.
If my account was anonymous I would use stronger terms!
Had a very nice lunch in the pub in your pic one day last month - has a great pub/cafe feel.
Strange there’s nothing at all now where your pic shows all the seating.

"Sheffield stands?"
"No, it's kind of out of the box thinking, and..."

One for @visitwakefield.bsky.social I feel!
STEAM used to be one of mine when I was very very keen!
These days I tend to go with whatever pops into my head.
Wait, what?
Is this at the heart of their craziness?
If more reports had the word 'rumpus' in their headlines, I don't think print media, or journalism in general, would be in the state it's in.
Paisley Daily Express JESUS APPEARS IN PUB
“Twelve bottles of water please”
“I’ve told you before - you’re barred”
I agree
My daughter is considering media studies A level. On an open morning I was looking at the curriculum & thinking what a fascinating & essential subject it is.
Pic as described in post. My bike is lying on the canal bank on the opposite side from the barge. The sky is a mix of clouds and blue.
Two forms of environmentally friendly transport. The MB Off Roader is a barge on the Aire & Calder navigation, pictured at Stourton Wharf in Leeds.
In the foreground is my bicycle.
A delightful place!
I think the small locomotive is the Upnor Castle. It is pulling three wagons of different types, on a narrow gauge railway line. The line is in a wooded gorge. A man is watching the train. A small amount of blue sky is visible.
Engineers train on the Welsh Highland Railway two weeks ago. A glorious day. Just south of Beddgelert.
A thorn on a windowsill. Next to a standard size cycling water bottle to aid sizing
In praise of tubeless (for gravel). Must have picked this thorn up last week, hadn’t noticed it. This AM spotted it before a ride & decided I ought to pull it out. Put bike on a stand so I could spin the wheel around to help sealing (does it? Not certain!) & after a minute or so I was good to go!
3/3. It’s hard for Trump to end a war when Putin is making so much money from it.
Looks lovely. I’ve never been anywhere even near but it looked nice on Google maps when I was looking at places to holiday a couple of years ago.
The FBI Director, the DC US Attorney, and the Secretary of Defense walk into a bar.
Apparently like every day.

That is a fascinating and comprehensive article thank you. Really enjoyed that you explained both the why and the how and the risks of the long patrols.
I grew up 1.25 miles from Western Europe’s largest coal fired power station. There was noise & light pollution, uncertain air pollution, definitely pylons. But you know what, it was fine, everyone was used to it. NIMBYs should have their electricity disconnected as far as I’m concerned.
What a great idea!
