The shadows swallowing everything and those massive walls towering over him making him look so small,... it perfectly captures the suffocating feeling of being trapped in the tower, watched, and having no way out ;-;

He's such a complicated mess of a character, but the fandom often loves to reduce him to That One Thing he did, as if everything leading up to it just didn't happen. So seeing art depicting one of those quieter, heavier moments from before everything went to hell hits different.

It's always so refreshing when an artist/writer understands the backstory of Anders 😭
