There's something brilliant about taking the Gothic trope of "the grotesque" and amping it all the way to 11 in Absolute. It's something that's found in most of the original Batman villains but these updates are disgusting and iconic. You can't take your eyes off them.

And the Lord saith, “DOES HE LOOK LIKE A BITCH?”

The second option is the best because it’s a reminder that there’s people out there who do love things and don’t act like they’re above it all.

I've said it many times before - the best way to enjoy fandoms is to ignore social media discourse as a whole and either enjoy the fandom on your own, or enjoy and discuss it with a small group of IRL or online friends you can trust won't be toxic about it.

All the trans people I know are cool and all the anti-trans people are uniformly douchebags so I have decided that they are like the evil version of the Justice League but without the cool costumes.

Having made a film at Marvel was a hell of a thing. Departments like VFX are crazy because almost everyone there has won or been nominated for Oscars or Emmys (or both). The wealth of talent there was insane. Much love to everyone affected by such a stupid purge. Y'all really have been killing it.
