When files get chunked in IPFS, there are a number of chunking strategies, dag layouts and parameters that affect the value of the final root CID, making dedup unattainable in a lot of cases.

Zap turned out to be cool even though I initially had reservation about shoe horning cryptocurrency to such project.
ActivityPub fediverse is the least compelling social network to me because it never solved the data ownership issue.
Coming from Twitter and having tried Mastodon, BlueSky and Nostr, BlueSky made the most sense to me. Thanks to my bias towards IPFS type technologies.
Although I'm going to admit there are really compelling aspects of Nostr.
