Ok so you have garage band, I’m an apple guy but don’t use it!

You honestly just need to watch a few videos of your iRig being used on iPhone and MacBooks

They will either use GarageBand or Logic as the daw and your iRig is the audio interface

It should work, well I can’t see why it wouldn’t work and that way you get a massive battery to store on and a 2nd car if anything goes wrong with main.

I presume piano is midi so again you would have to make sure that the software emulation is enabled for playback and tracking enabled (that basically is even when not recording you play an instrument and you will hear it in the DAW and out the speakers)
Might be best to google iRig daw setups

Digital Audio Workstation, software that allows for recording via an interface.
Apple have GarageBand free on most devices or Logic Pro for the higher end these are DAWs.
Your DAW inputs may need to be enabled on the Chanels you are using.
