Damned lack of an edit button. I meant *suppressed.* Bill Lee is doing all he can to cripple Nashville’s influence and keep only the white rural vote relevant.

I’ve lived in the south for most of my life and I would absolutely argue this. To add on, there’s such disproportionate power to the rural conservative areas that even the white progressive vote (mine) is actively surprised. TN is going everything it can to negate Nashville progressives, for example
A Boxer wearing a birthday hat.
I didn’t realize until after that the famous Nazi fuck’s birthday is also today, but Happy 3rd Arbitrary Birthday to my dog, Tallulah! My wife and I picked it for the weed joke since we know she was born in mid-April. I think this is the more important birthday.
Palantir put out the most cartoonishly evil statement possible. They’re so arrogant and self-confident they don’t seem to believe their fascistic plans can be opposed.
We must get rid of Palantir altogether.

My favorite game. I need to figure out how to get it running on Mac soon. I know OpenMW runs on Mac, but I can’t find a way to get the game files off my disc.
I take this as my moral obligation to make Thomas’ life as miserable as possible.
Too many people think it’s okay to do shit like this to people they don’t like. Bigotry is never okay, even when turned against bigots.
My sister refuses to admit that Greenville, NC exists and insists Greenville, SC is the only one. I haven’t told her yet that there’s about a dozen in the US.
That’s hilarious. A beautiful thought to wake up to this fine Saturday morning.
What would that cost look like? I have no law education, but even I can clearly see the case she has and know it’s gonna be hefty.
You say that, but someone did once break the window of my sister’s car and yoink her CD binder.
(True story, but I fully agree with the point)
Or if you’re lucky, all three!
A copy of the Blu-ray box set of The Wire, signed by Seth Gilliam, who played Ellis Carver
(I genuinely think The Wire is the best TV show ever made, have watched it at least 7 times, have read that book, have listened to an episode by episode podcast deep dive, and have a copy of the Blu-ray signed by Seth Gilliam. I probably know more about the show than I ought to)
A great example of this is that the gangster who inspired Avon Barksdale actually plays the priest who guides Cutty after his release from prison. Dude got out of jail himself and turned his life around.
I highly recommend the book All The Pieces Matter. It’s a deep dive into the production and writing of the show that tackles a lot of such details. Likewise, many of the characters are directly inspired by real people from Baltimore, some of whom are in the show.
Given that it was in the first episode (IIRC), there could have been some backpedaling to not make him seem like TOO much of an asshole. The guy already so many negative qualities already. Gotta save some for the other characters!
Agreed. It helps that a lot of it was inspired by the actual transition from cop to school teacher that one of the writers went through. A lot of that show was semi-autobiographical.
Goddamnit, I should have known it was you…
this is the problem with learning how to do drugs from internet strangers. you're supposed to learn how to do drugs from the nice ex-con dishwasher at your first restaurant job.
we are losing original recipes.
I must be on them too because I don’t even know what happened, just people saying he sucks again.
How is TJ Maxx not getting in on "looksmaxxing," riding it hard for a fiscal quarter of advertising campaign, then walking away with the satisfaction of having murdered the trend.
seems like if nobody is allowed to sue the president that the president shouldn't be able to sue anybody either
And even if they were, even our own galaxy is too big for me to believe they could have made contact by now. Space is a very lonely place.
I have no idea how I missed this series but I’m less than 10 minutes in and am fully invested. I’m not even a big fan of the genre, I just love sharing people’s enthusiasm.
Damn good insight into an overlooked aspect of Half-Life. Also, I appreciated that your sponsorship was at the end and actually informative!
As a lover of physical media with a VHS and vinyl collection, this trend brings me great joy. I see so many Gen Z people in the hobby these days that likely grew up in the digital age where these have always been novelties. Even the @foundfootagefest.com shows have the youths attending!
The one thing that can unite this country is bullying JD Vance.
Smart move to have the super handsome reporter conduct this interview, tbh
Nah, can you imagine how much she could get in divorce court if she could prove this affair? Talk about a high-profile divorce case.
I need Andre the Giant as a companion right now.
