A tweet with Dean Phillips on CNN

Question: Is there room for you and Mamdani in the Democratic Party?
Phillips: The answer, ultimately, I think, is no
When you have socialists in the Democratic Party, I don't know how anybody could argue that that would be beneficial for the party or for the country
Yโallโs politicians are out here saying that there is no room for socialists in the Democratic Party and then when election time comes around everyone says Democrats lost because socialists & leftists stayed home.
So which is it.
Yโall should spend the next few years sorting your messaging.

When straight people are biphobic, they're recycled & generic.
When queer people are biphobic, theyre creative & more hurtful bc they paint my bisexuality as anti queer somehow, tell me I'm entitled & crying over nothing. They know how to hit me where it hurts bc they know I'm in queer spaces.

I'm upset queer people don't recognize biphobia as being a systemic issue! I'm bothered by the prevalent biphobia being paraded as feminism. That's some bullshit that I hate.
I hate being continuously gaslit. That bothers me!

I was told my bi ness was fake, sinful, whore-ish, perverted, annoying, transphobic, homophobic, misogynistic, like beastiality, greedy, etc
Yeah it sucks when coming from queer people but now I've come to expect it from everywhere bc of how I've seen it everywhere.
I'm annoyed they don't see it!

"annoying"
Like queer activists haven't always been annoying...
That's the point but ๐

Although there's this remaining undercurrent of the narrative of us not being real also. So... It's still there but less overt bc a lot of us decided to form communities and stand up for ourselves.
But now that just means we're annoying.
We just can't win smh

Back then nobody actually believed someone who said they were bi. I heard "bisexuality isn't real" so often irl and online.
While also for some reason saying we're evil?? It was confusing
Nowadays I see MORE people saying we're real but actually just evil.

The sites that we hit in Iran were totally destroyed, and everyone knows it. Only the Fake News would say anything different in order to try and demean, as much as possible โ And even they say they were โpretty well destroyed!โ Working especially hard on this falsehood is Allison Cooper of Fake News CNN, Dumb Brian L. Roberts, Chairman of โConโcast, Jonny Karl of ABC Fake News, and always, the Losers of, again, Concastโs NBC Fake News. It never ends with the sleazebags in the Media, and thatโs why their Ratings are at an ALL TIME LOW โ ZERO CREDIBILITY!

Id'ing as a bisexual man was worse. They got Jack Harkness ("who was PANSEXUAL, thank you very much, not a boring transphobic bisexual!"), and then the entire Torchwood team got the Bury Our Gays treatment somehow despite Jack himself being immortal.

The younger generation doesn't know what id'ing as a bisexual woman was like for Millennials.
Your favourite female character, who had canonically been attracted to men, would start dating a woman and the creator of the show would give a thousand interviews being like ๐งต

"It was important for us to make it clear that the character is a lesbian ๐ NOT A FILTHY SLUTTY BISEXUAL WHO IS JUST FAKING FOR ATTENTION."
Then you'd go to LiveJournal to be like "well I kind of read her as bisexual anyway" and the entire fandom would act like you had personally hate-crimed them.๐งต

I discuss, in my work, realities beyond the definitions that constrain us all, or our attempts to twist the ideologies of "manhood" or "womanhood" into a cohesive framework for liberation.
I am both and neither. I exist.
My gender liberation is not a problem to be solved, it is a life to be lived

If I claim womanhood, I am denied on the basis of taking testosterone.
If I claim manhood, I am denied on the basis of lacking a penis.
If I claim neither, I am denied on the basis of owing loyalty to gender roles.
If I claim both, I am denied on the basis of impossibility.

Misogyny and toxic masculinity are weaponized from all directions.
The interchange of "too much a man", "too much a woman", "not man enough", "not woman enough" is the struggle that dictates the material conditions of queer people's lives due to broader social bias.
Gender is a weapon, so often.

I have a flat chest and a low voice and a beard. I often wear skirts and makeup and heels.
What is authentic to me is baffling to others, and they choose violence about it frequently.

same story as "bisexual women can't be lesbians" and "kink doesn't belong at pride" and "asexual isn't a queer identity". a lot of these people are between 15 and 21 years old, the period of life where you're pretty sure you have everything figured out and older people need to be Taken to Task

A close-up picture of a simple cross stitch piece. Center top is a purple, round, full moon. Angling down amd to the left are 2 pink crescent moons, and two similar moons to the left in blue. Below the moons is the text "it's not a phase" stitched in black.
Today's Pride craft share is this bisexual pride cross stitch patter by Still Bitter Design.
They have several other Pride and craftivism themed patterns in their shop, too!

A doodle of a shirtless male lizardfolk with a mechanical right arm holding a spanner in his left wearing a leather work apron around his waist. He has the appearance and markings of a gila monster. The palm of his mechanical right hand is open with two lenses protruding from it and a light beaming through it is refracted into the colours of the rainbow pride flag.
A doodle of a male anthro dragon with a goatee and long hair wearing pants, a wide brim hat and a button up shirt holding a sword with both hands while looking at the viewer with a smirk. The blade of the sword is coloured with the bi pride colours.
A doodle of a male anthro possum and a male anthro squirrel with dark fur standing shoulder to shoulder and looking at one another and smiling. They are dressed in medieval fantasy clothes, the possum in a bi pride-coloured tunic with a flute hanging from his belt and the squirrel is dressed like a dashing rogue with the bi coloured vest over his shirt.
A doodle of a shirtless fat and muscular male anthro wild boar with a hairy chest and arms flexing his muscles while smirking at the viewer. He is wearing gym shorts in the colours of the rainbow pride flag.
3rd batch of ko-fi Pride doodles!
