That is in fact not what I believe- movies targeted towards kids and adults have varying levels of depths and that is apparent, just that sometimes u gotta respect it sometimes when they say their favorite movie is Moana bc like any art, it is validly capable of reflecting upon someone meaningfully

Tho I'm half and half on his animation takes bc I know hes talking about the fan base usually, but I think "it" does have enough artistic foundation for someone to really latch onto its style and presentation of its ideas even if or sometimes despite the fact it's attached to "popular kids IP"
