Yep. Recall that we hammered Spurs 5-1 under identical circumstances in the final game of the ‘15-‘16 season.

Another irony is that we have seemingly have @tribelaw.bsky.social to thank for the shadow docket.

A proper game of football, this one, berween a team that should have wrapped up the title already and another which should have been demoted to League One a long time ago.

Agree he didn’t do himself any favors last summer. But whatever lack of match fitness resulted from that, there’s no reason for it to have persisted till today, injury notwithstanding. The issue seems deeper, given that we’re seeing the same player we saw in the final third of last season.

Fair to question how the money was spent, but there’s not much doubt in my mind that Isak would’ve absolutely honked for us this season if he’d stuck around. #nufc

Yep. Didn’t have a Donnaruma howler on my bingo card today.

Oh my. Maybe Pep should’ve started Trafford instead.

It’s happening. You’re welcome.

Yikes. I actually didn’t realize the league was going to get a fifth slot again.

Hate to say it, but with Chelsea seemingly out of the picture, I’d much rather ManU qualified for CL instead of Liverpool. Might have to hold my nose and pull for them.

Would be hilarious to see Arsenal epically choke after spending almost the entire season as presumptive title winners. Please, sports gods, make it happen.

How do you rate Emery’s abilities as a manager relative to Howe?

2 days ago 0 0 2 0

Still seeing lots of LFC fans saying he lacks match fitness, but that explanation is becoming tired now.

Also as shit as we are it’s still wonderful seeing Isak being completely anonymous again. They must be wounded they paid 130 million for him 🤣🤣

Totally. Long may it continue, but now I’m genuinely wondering what on earth the matter with him is. I get that this is a continuation of his form with us, but even a hard reset via serious injury hasn’t been able to iron out whatever’s bothering him.

Giorgi Mamardashvili goes off injured after the goal and is replaced by Freddie Woodman for his Premier League debut.

Will be interesting to see how he fares.

Glad you’re alright man. That’s all that matters.

Thanks for the emergency docket, @tribelaw.bsky.social. Hope you’re pleased with the results of your work on this case.

Chelsea were idiots to let Maresca go.

At the moment #nufc look like one of those teams that sink down the table just too late to get relegated, but quite often whose form continues the next season and they are gone then.

Maybe. But never underestimate the fragility of the Spurs psyche.

Peak Spurs.

They’ve just conceded… Rather spursy I must say!

Make that 9 points clear…

I was just saying to someone else on here today, I have been shocked recently at the level of apathy that’s set in for something I usually hold so sacred. Feels almost wrong to even say that.

In the live table (which assumes spurs draw today), we are 11 points clear with 5 games to play, and we are already two points clear of the historic 40 point threshold for safety. What mathematical scenario do you have in mind? Genuinely curious in case I’ve overlooked something.

From relegation?

2 days ago 0 0 2 0

Yes, for sure. I would definitely include both of those clubs on the list right now. Frankly, Brentford have been on that list for a number of years for me. Last season’s mediocrity was the exception for them, and Frank also had the same staleness about him that Howe does now.

Yes we very easily could be. This season is precisely the kind of warning sign Spurs received—and seemingly failed to heed—last season.
