Actually, they aren't igneous. They are Entrada sandstone, with layers that erode at different rates. Isn't that cool? stateparks.utah.gov/parks/goblin...

These whimsical shapes are part of the mid to late Jurassic (144 to 208 million years ago) Entrada Formation, initially deposited as windblown sand dunes when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Goblin Valley State Park is a wonderland of whimsical sandstone shapes. It's where they filmed the rock monster (Gorignak) scene in Galaxy Quest.

I myself have an amazing adopted rabbit companion whom I live with. She’s litter box trained and has run of my bunny-proofed house. Living with a rabbit can be wonderfully rewarding if you take proper care and educate yourself on their needs.

But adopting one should only be undertaken after careful, long, serious consideration in which your whole family agrees. And if after much soul searching, and not on an Easter whim, you decide a rabbit companion is for you, please adopt from a shelter.

They require lots of room to run and explore and their space should always be bunny-proofed. They need very careful attention to their diet and health. For a considerate, loving, gentle person, they make wonderful, affectionate companions.

If kept solely in a cage, rabbits live sad, miserable, and lonely lives. They are very curious and intelligent, and can be litter box trained and should never be kept or left outside unattended.

This Easter, please reconsider giving someone a rabbit as a frivolous present. Rabbits live very long lives and require as much attention and care as a dog or cat.
