I can see where you're coming from. Episode 4 & 5 are so much better, though. 4 gives us the "what happened" for the Klingons after the Burn, 5 is a love letter to DS9.

I have really enjoyed it, especially the last 2 episodes. Both have made me cry - tears of joy and sadness. I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode. Oh, and it's #2 overall for P+. That's an excellent showing!

I just started watching Origins & binged 3 episodes in a row. The guy playing young Gibbs is nailing it. (Also, I keep thinking it should be set in the 70's instead of the 90's. Makes me feel *old*)

Into Darkness is the one Trek movie I refuse to see. I like Benedict, but he could've been any other character in the lore. To put a white man in the role of a Sikh was just totally tone deaf. Besides, only Ricardo Montalban is/was/always will be Khan.
