💥🇭🇺🗳️First results of the Hungarian parliamentary elections are in: with 14.72% counted, the opposition leads with mandates nearing a two-thirds majority.

Everything points to Viktor Orbán’s defeat and Péter Magyar becoming Hungary’s next prime minister.

I learned that these are not actually exit polls from this excellent source. I'd recommend keeping an eye on Szabolcs' feed tonight and in the coming days. Certainly looking very promising but Orbán won't go quietly.

Hungary’s turnout is BRUTAL: 37.98% by 11am (2022: 22.77%), pointing to 75–80% or more overall. In such a scenario, Orbán’s chances look slim, and it’s unlikely any party beyond Fidesz and Péter Magyar’s Tisza clears the 5% threshold.
