Sorry for the flood of ‘scruffy bonkers colours’ stuff this last week. It’s nice to just let loose.
It being fun to do doesn’t hurt, either :)

A figure, armed with sword and shield, confronts a suspiciously well-lit crystal set in ruins, deep in a forest.
no good will come of this

It’s only a short read, but I absolutely rattled through The Dagger in Vichy. Loved it. Felt almost like I could borrow with only a few tweaks for a Hawkmoon game.
Not sure if Alastair Reynolds is on here, but if he is, please tell him I’d 100% read more in this setting.
Thank you for putting up with them! 🙂
Cheers Lucas!
They don’t look terribly impressed, do they? 😂
Something a bit ‘swords and sorcery’ about this, I reckon.

Writing up my notes for tonight's Cthulhu by Gaslight game. This'll be episode 24, and the end of this chapter before I start to run the finale, starting next week - a gothic Lovecraftian monstrosity, where I plan to pull out all the stops 🙂
Cheers! 🙂
Five short stories under the heading ‘The Casebook of Walther Cohen’ in The Best of Adrian Tchaikovsky from Subterranean Press 👍

I read The House on the Old Cliffs tonight, it was right up my street 👍
Cheers mate! 🙂
Cheers Simon!
Me, only just finding out today that @aptshadow.bsky.social has written some paranormal investigation stories.
Setting THAT error right this week 🙂

You’re very kind, mate 🙂
Drawing this week has been scruffy and odd. Scruffy and odd, but strangely compelling, despite all the stuff we have going on at home at the moment. Weirdly coloured digital escapism.
It occurred to me that I too, am scruffy and a bit odd. Maybe that’s where there’s comfort.
I think so 🙂
That looks lovely! Happy Sunday, Syl!
A solitary figure stands beneath cliffs where once a sea might have been. Now all is dry, reddish pink dust beneath a burning sun.

Morning Womble! Currently in the last fifty pages of Something Coming Through by Paul McAuley, and really enjoying it.
Cheers Bex! You’re very kind.
Cheers Lee!
(sorry for the repost, saw something that did messed up) 🙂

Now you're talking! Tiny hardware shops across the country - ancient hideouts for the ironmongers in their watch over the ever-changing borders of Faerie - but over the years, their owners have retired, grown old, passed away - or been displaced by Big Business. A plot to dismantle the watch? 🙂
I hear them whispering 'ironmonger' behind the leaves, and they don't trouble me 🙂
