Just to expand upon this, the ending of Chapter 4 signified to me that Kris had enough of the ruckus that Toriel and Sans were making downstairs, so I always thought that the most logical thing they were doing was escaping through their bedroom window to camp out at Asgore’s place for the night.

How has no one pointed out the fact that the end of Deltarune chapter 4 teased that the next fountain will be in Asgore’s shop lol
