Nice weather finally arriving really has me wanting to do absolutely nothing except be out in my garden. I want to pull weeds and stare at my tiny bluebells and startle the thirty birds sitting in our stick pile!!

Today as I was using my grippy thimble that makes it so my hand doesn't click while pulling the needle, I noticed that pulling with the grip is instead hyperextending my finger and I didn't notice for like a year.....

Oops first head was too small so I made a new one at 110% (stay tuned for me eventually selling the old one lmao)

I love natural fibers, I am always incorporating them where I can, but the best thing you can do is know the properties of different fibers and weaves and what they can achieve and make informed choices that best serve what you are trying to accomplish

Lmao I have won so many contests with synthetics. Sometimes there are also properties you can only get in synthetics, and it's about knowing when to use what materials appropriately! The best choice you can make for comps is "is this right for THIS costume and my vision for it"
