We will continue to hold perpetrators and enablers of mass atrocities in Sudan accountable and work to prevent and mitigate further violence and famine for the Sudanese people.
We used every opportunity to highlight the depth and magnitude of the crisis in Sudan, which includes horrific crimes against children, and to call for concrete action.
Mutasim Ali and Yonah Diamond appeared before the House of Commons’ Subcommittee on International Human Rights, where they stressed the urgency of the worsening human rights crisis in Sudan, particularly in El Fasher, and called on Canada to act.
We launched the All-Party Parliamentary Coalition for Sudan, a revival of the Save Darfur Coalition created by Irwin Cotler as an MP in response to the first genocide in Sudan over 20 years ago.
Last week, we were on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada to draw attention to the ongoing genocide in #Sudan and to call on Canada to strengthen its response.
