There's no point in any regulation if it's going to be ignored by those who can act.
My challenge to redcar&cleveland, and charnwood is to come and clean up the neighbourhood. Measure the problem and take responsibility.

The result is that smokers can stink out neighbouring houses with impunity. The industry doesn't care as long as it's making money. EHO's don't care. Both totally ignore the fact that fumes are toxic - and they exceed any reasonable limits.

I disagree. I've emailed them previously with my address and details of the neighbour's stoves. Nothing happened. They didn't visit and didn't respond with any advice.
Neighbours are already hostile because the council did visit - they said "we wouldn't know what to do if we witnessed fumes".

I have discussed this with Charnwood directly (by email) so they know and are aware.
