This week has had two long days, the kind where you can’t connect the morning to the evening because the morning feels like last week. 😬

Scrivener was developed a long time ago for writers originally on Mac then on Windows. It feels like a lot, but I watched their video tutorials and finally got a handle on how to use it best. @scrivenerapp.bsky.social

It's AI on top of their software, which was written years ago. But I read up on the AI they use to ensure they don't use my manuscripts for training and which language model they use. They recommend it for use before having it professionally edited. If I had the funds, I'd still add human editing.

Ha! šŸ˜†

I hate Word. I use Scrivener w ProWritingAid. Weirdly a novel I'd had edited by a human was judged as having not great editing, but one I'd edited with ProWritingAid (no more $ for humans) was judged as very good. Maybe cuz I was a copyeditor in a former life and married those skills w PWA??

The pandemic has brought us full circle back to having our bread delivered. And the artisanal movement brought back baking in a wood oven in a park. šŸ˜‹

ā€œWill global anti-U.S. sentiment negatively impact international visitation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup?ā€ Canadians will have to turn up the heat by boycotting US-based FIFA games and attracting record numbers to Canadian-based World Cup games. It is! I thought memoir or fictionalizing bad things happening was supposed to be therapy. Nah. It’s writing scenes about the shitty people who screw up your day just because. Art does, too.

LOL @ she lives!

We were given or asked about time slots for being wired up. I took the last one ~11PM. Every lab had different wake-up times. Worst was out the door by 7AM because they followed hospital nursing shift changes (7:30AM). But the last one I was allowed to wake up and leave whenever.

My sleep is changing big time. Real sleepy before bedtime and fall asleep fast. Next night nothing works. No idea why. I don’t have a sleep doc anymore, but even if I did, I wouldn’t ask because they were all fucking useless in providing solutions. Maybe modify my home neurostim? #BrainInjury

Wow. 5AM‽ I thought 6AM wake up and out the door by 7 was awful.

The worst part of the sleep study was the big men snoring loud enough to bring the building down. At least docs could solve their sleep with CPAP machines.

Did they start the program with a sleep study? No point in trying to fix a problem they don’t fully understand. Mind you, tho my sleep studies gave great info on why my sleep sucks, the docs were useless in solving them. I use sleep apps and @mindaliveinc.bsky.social sessions. Better than ā€œadvice.ā€

I’m so sorry. You don’t need AI stupidity taking you away from what really matters.

Adding scenes in my novels. Putting them into Hell Track in my trilogy. Writing is therapy.

Hear. Hear. Tech bros always added layers to the simple things with each ā€œupgradeā€. AI has made it so much worse. I look for the shortcut to the human every time. Yelling into the void helps! Became one of my main things on Twitter before it all fell apart. Companies shld pay for our therapy!

Your Disney+ AI poem reminds me of when companies got onto the voice control bandwagon. No more pushing buttons on the phone, you’d just speak what you wanted. More like yell while the computer sent you to the wrong option. Thankfully that ā€œupgradeā€ bit the dust as the general public chose buttons.

Wheat bran for your digestion (light coloured, large flakes IF you can find it otherwise light in colour at least). Oat bran for your cholesterol control. It actually works!

Oh dear. I love baking, but I’d buy jam tarts, too. I may have made them back in my teens… The only problem is I haven’t seen any for sale here. :(

I’ll never forgot how quick Fedeli showed up to sub in for Patrick Brown during scandal, which led to Ford becoming Mayor, uh, Premier. And how he’s been attached to Ford’s hip ever since. Where are the cops??

The pastry chef at Scaramouche in Toronto back in the day whose desserts were to die for. Baking is an art form, and her art sang! (Yup, a woman!)

Respirator masks in packages

Respirator masks in packages

Imagine for a moment, if people wore N95 respirators for a week, or a month, and the state encouraged it?

In a coordinated fashion, airborne disease would take a tumble every year. It wouldn't just be performative yet important like donning a poppy for a couple weeks. It would save lives.

Top view of milk bread with a slice on far left showing the tender crumb. Three ā€œhillsā€ visible of the golden-crusted loaf are different sizes. Why‽! Each roll that makes the bread weighed exactly the same!!

The Japanese milk bread made with whole grains may not be the white white people are used to but it sure is tasty. šŸ˜‹
