I’m convinced that particular guy exists in every artistic subculture.

(For example, he absolutely exists within my local drum & bass community, sitting home and incessantly posting on Facebook about how everyone else is fake and sucks and ruined the scene, while he remains pure in word and deed)

Yeah, I would have left it alone but EMERGENCY REACTIONALYSIS is hilarious

It is good! But I’m just laughing at the need to do immediate (emergency!) analysis of it, like it’s a cipher from God and not a song that—shockingly—sounds exactly like Boards of Canada should

Hi Victoria — I have a phone here that might be useful for you. Sent details via DM.

The Joint Chiefs have been summoned, first responders on high alert. The Doomsday Clock ticks forward by a few seconds.

Society is on a knife's edge. WHAT WILL BE REVEALED ABOUT THE NEW BOARDS OF CANADA SONG?

Oh hey, Boards of Canada released some new music... (yay!)

...which means you have to endure seemingly dozens of "reaction" videos in your YouTube feed (boooooooo)

Oh, I'm sorry, it's not just a reaction video, it's an EMERGENCY REACTIONALYSIS (!!!!!!)

UPDATE: We’ve progressed to the stage of “spending far more time than I should to edit automation levels”

So true. I’ve had a lot of people ask me “So what’s better? Pat’s or Geno’s?” and my response is basically “my go-to pizza place in South Jersey makes one that’s just as good, if not better. And that’s true all over the region.”

I never considered “airbag to the balls” to be a legitimate possibility — apparently I don’t have that innovation mindset

I may be a simple country drum & bass producer, but it's safe to say that Alan Wilder (either as Recoil, or when he was in Depeche Mode) has been one of my main influences

Excerpts of this appeared on the “Liquid” album, but the full version only came out as a b-side

Few Depeche Mode fans know about Recoil, the Alan Wilder project that became his focus after he left DM in 1995. It’s some of the most evocative electronic music out there.

Even Recoil fans might not know about the full 14+ minute version of “Black Box”, which is an absolute journey:

A bit of a random question for music producer Bluesky:

Does anyone here know someone who works for Universal Audio?

UPDATE: I was in the mood for Thai food after this post, and tried a new place — Daughter Thai in the Rockridge district of Oakland. Can’t vouch for authenticity, since I haven’t yet been to Thailand, but it was quite good…flavorful and good quality ingredients
