Sorry, but I think this is a very blinkered neo-Marxist view. Of course we have male dominance in many fields-and our job is to evolve out of that. The idea that “the men” somehow monolithically invented religion to “control women” seems paranoid. Monoliths “the men” and “the women” do not exist.

Exactly my point. Tariffs are a disaster. But #theopposition needs a plan to counter Trump’s disastrous message. I say an industrial policy to bring in hi wage jobs snd and education reform to train for them is the best option I see, but no one is advocating that - as far as I can tell.

@sanders.senate.gov I love your soul, your passion, your commitment. You’re a great American. And you’re right about working people. But what’s needed is not a min wage hike but a pro-business industrial policy to bring in hi-wage jobs and education reform to train for them. Ditch the socialism.

This is deranged. Jan. 6 defendants were repped by one of the best public defender offices in the U.S. They were more likely to be released pretrial & got comparatively light sentences. SCOTUS threw out a bunch of convictions, which almost never happens. They got gold-plated due process!

I agree with those who say Harvard and others in academia are awash in neo-Marxist “critical theory” blather and that this situation should be rebalanced. But bending knee to Trump’s fascism is not the way to change. Organically, from the inside of the community is. Bravo, Harvard.

Be like Harvard, not like Columbia.
Be like Costco, not like Target.
Be like Perkins Coie not like Paul Weiss.

Courage is not easy, it can be costly but the stakes are existential. Show up on the right side of history or forever be a footnote to cowardice.

The focus here on industrial policy is good … and, it’s not about tariffs except in exceptional cases. What’s needed is industrial policy that encourages investment, brings hi-wage jobs, and educational transformation to teach skills for those jobs . Not tariffs.
