I keep thinking about my colleagues, the research we are doing, and, yes, my rent.
I do what I do because I believe in it. I could be doing better in industry. But this is more.
And it’s going away.
I’m not saying that like minds are all in the same camp, but every post I’ve seen opposing work from home has had multiple comments agreeing and adding that women should know their place as mothers and homemakers and not be career minded or in corporate America.

As the mother of a future scientist who was delayed already by COVID, and as an administrator who has spent so much time on submissions and support, it is disheartening and maddening and depressing.
Fascinating that someone said to show mercy - a word used over 300 times in the Bible, and certain Christians are up in arms.
As one brought up Christian, I was always told to be merciful like Jesus. I’m not sure why they all missed that.
