Voting aside, this was a very moving, well crafted piece of work. My accomplice for the evening was a Chelsea fan- and he was moved to tears. Bravo and good luck. 🤞

😂this made me laugh! A bit like a moment of comic relief in a play, which I happen to write, this provided some temporary relief from the very heavy drama unfolding for Leeds United.

A man stands with his fists clenched over his face in anguish. Behind him is a partially empty pint of beer and a Leeds United scarf.

Jim’s always been a character, just like his Dad, and spends most of his life between the bookies, the pub and Elland Road.

He’s always had this lingering feeling though that he doesn’t quite fit into this world, that there’s something different about him, something wrong…

Leeds folk, football fans, everyone - if you can still get tickets, #throughitalltogether is an incredible, emotional rollercoaster. I’ve never seen @reecedinsdale.bsky.social in anything I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed and this is no exception. Fabulous performance. 💛💙

Saw #ThroughItAllTogether last night. We loved it! I'd urge all #lufc fans to see it. We are currently caring for my wife's mum who is living with dementia. So it resonated with us on a lot of levels. Everyone involved should be very proud! Really nice to chat with @deansmith7.bsky.social after too.

Brilliant email from Rachel at #LeedsPlayhouse just now inviting attendees of tonight's press night of #ThroughItAllTogether by @cpoconnor87.bsky.social to wear football tops (specifically @leedsunited.com) I hope lots of people take up the offer. I'd love to see a lot more cross-culture in theatre.

I couldn't write about that period and not have him as a small part of it. It is though, in a small way, a thank you to him and he will be invited as he was a fan of the Leeds Playhouse and wrote to them about the important work they do for the 'soul of Leeds' and visited with his family.
