look, I've seen what life looks like if you're poor and sick and have nowhere else to go but enough money that some agency will still pay for your ass to live and be cared for. That for-profit institutionalization is not what anyone's end of life care should look like.

— only buy tech too old to have AI built in
— painstakingly disable AI every time they add it to something that used to work perfectly well
— if it can't be switched off, abandon the platform or tool

I'm starting to become convinced those of us who learned to use software without Google or AI, and who know the "deeper" intricacies of said software b/c we learned how (self-taught or otherwise) are rapidly becoming an endangered species.

Probably Highlander and/or dueSouth. I actually resisted joining for three months because I had my own site back then and didn't really see the point.
