I'm back on That place again
I'll only really post art on there sometimes. I also only made an account because as much as I hate to admit it, it's still a really popular social media
quick tory fox darkheart doodle because i really like this thing
I forget that people still actively check out the things I make even when I'm not looking
Like what do you mean someone might be reading one of my comics while I'm asleep or even right now and I wouldn't know about it
That's scary
Told myself I wasn't gonna add more AUs to this list due to already adding in a LOT of them after I originally completed it, but I might consider adding more in the future if I'm motivated enough/I find more AUs to find
We'll see...
For the past week, I have been working on an UTDR AU Tier List with over 100 AUs on it. Today, I have finally finished AND Uploaded the Tier List
Here is a complete list of all the AUs I sprited for that

Make sure you tend to your plants!
Everyone should check out the things I made/am making but only if they want to do so
I mainly just think there's a lot of stuff I personally consider good which I put a lot of effort into that people will enjoy

Anyways I drew John Homestuck from memory for today
In the end, it's best to remember:
A fanwork is just a fanwork. It's something made because of the fact fans really liked a thing
It shouldn't be treated like a Product AND it shouldn't be treated like a Full-Time Job, either
It should be treated like something made out of passion by fans
If you keep engaging with the negativity, people will use that against you. You can't win people over, you can't change their minds, and that's okay. What matters is how YOU handle the fanwork, it shouldn't just be up to other people. It should be up to you
As I said, criticism is important. It's both important to give criticism AND take criticism. But if what you're getting isn't constructive but just someone telling you what you made sucks, then you shouldn't let that push you down. You shouldn't engage with it, you should try your best to ignore it
THAT being said, and crazy as this may make me sound, I also think it can be an issue for the other party, too. The one who makes set fanwork
I think engaging with negativity of that kind can be really harmful for your own well-being too, and essentially turning you into a shell of your former self
It's an issue that I see in pretty much every fandom, but I see it the most in fandoms I've been a part of in the past
You CAN dislike something, but don't shit on the person who made set something for it. It's just a dumb thing to do, especially if what they're making is completely harmless
I think people take fanworks a little TOO seriously sometimes
Obviously, criticism is important, and we SHOULD criticize things, fanmade or not
But I don't know how it ends up reaching the point of harassing people over the fact they just made something out of passion for a thing they really liked
(For anyone who sees this again, this post is a REPOST. I accidentally forgot to remove something from the original post of this and only realized hours later lol)
(Kinda wish I could have just edited the original post instead, but it is what it is....)
A comic focused on a Calico cat wearing a gray-colored tie with stripes and a gray-colored cat with stripes wearing a calico colored tie trying to eat sour hard candy. Both have different colored candies in their paws. In the first panel, the Calico cat says "Bleh!! This candy's REALLY really sour..." after touching a blue hard candy with her tongue. In the second panel, the gray-colored cat with stripes says "Let me try one", and then puts his tongue on the blue hard candy that he's holding. In the third panel, the gray-colored cat with stripes turning into a black and white color, looking a lot more like a doodle. The Calico Cat is looking at him in shock. In the fourth panel, the Calico cat asks "... Er... How's the candy, hun?" While having a slightly uncomfortable looking expression, to which the gray-colored cat replies "Sour."

Looking at the word count of the upcoming part for my UT AU
It's over 6000 words
That is definitely a record for this AU so far
Ideas come and go. They change and rarely stay the same
Your work grows with you. You get to points you had ideas for, and then have to alter them to better fit with everything else, or having to not do them entirely
But seeing how far your project has come since then is what makes it exciting
I think the beauty of creating a project for a long time is seeing how many of your ideas change the more you progress with it
Sometimes you'll have an idea that's really cool in the moment, but overtime you realize that you actually can't make it work, and that's okay
can't blame a SCALLYWAG for tryin'...
