Sulayman urgently needs to raise $600 to buy a casket for Saikou and give his elder a proper burial. Sulayman used $50 to take Saikou to a place that will preserve his body for about 5 more days.
Please donate if you can and share if you can’t!

In the above, you’ll read about one of Sulayman’s loved ones and elder, Saikou. A week ago, Saikou passed away. This has been a great shock and heartbreak for the village, and especially for Sulayman.
@sulaymansano.bsky.social has been working tirelessly to share his story with the international community and gather financial support to bring a sustainable water infrastructure to his village of Sarre Mawdo in The Gambia.

Cus there are many ways to verify this family and how they’re using the money and truthfully it doesn’t seem like you’re receptive to engaging. You ask questions sure, but you’re dodging mine!
I’m asking a genuine question I promise! Not being facetious. What would constitute as proof for you? Receipts? Pictures of blankets, tent supplies, food, cooking supplies, what? A picture of her brothers bank account? Her brother who’s going to facilitate the evacuation? What?
So what would be proof to you? Anything at all?
She also sends me pictures of the food and medicine she buys, hospital/diagnosis paperwork. The lengths people will go to discredit a family in need is ridiculous.
What’s been spent has been spent on food, medicine, and tent supplies when they’ve had to take shelter in tents.
Actually, if you read the gofundme, I send the money to her brother Muhammad who’s been evacuated and is now in Istanbul. He’s sent me pics of him in Istanbul and we’ve video chatted. He left behind his debit card so Raja could use it, but can confirm the majority is in his account.

This DemocracyNow! interview puts that into perspective.

At least 17 Palestinians were killed when Israel’s military bombed a home near the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia. The dead were members of the family of Dr. Hani Badran, one of the few remaining medical workers at Kamal Adwan.
The situation is absolute horror in every fathomable way. She’s scared to lose her children.
Please if you can, financially contribute to this family’s survival. And if you can’t, definitely please give Raja a follow and like, reply, share, boost this thread!
What do you do when you have the money to feed your children but there’s nothing to buy?
But now there is no flour.
None.
She went from buying expired flour at extremely high prices, sifting the bugs out of it, to literally not seeing any sold in the market.
Very little aid was getting in before, and it’s even less now.
Because the borders are closed and market prices are high, they’ve had to use some of the evacuation fund to survive.
@rajaatayseir.bsky.social has been making bread just like this every day to keep her family and others alive.
