For the pod genuinely interested by our defensive tactics. Noticed from minute one we played differently to France. Not one tackler. Did not contest rucks and stood offf passively in defensive line.
What was the thinking behind this ? It was a clear tactic (bad one)

Dummy runners or obstruction. Many many times they have players in front of the ball carrier who passed tacking out a defender. And it’s never penalised. Same at the ruck. A couple times support player. Not Boyd to ball carriers clears out a Scottish player apart from the ruck. It’s insane.

We have gotten literately no 50/50 ref calls that half and no luck.
Also the scrum we’ve have been really unfairly penalised. First Irish try from the scrum penalty was Ireland backing off not taking the hit. Not us shoving early. We’re getting nothing from Pearce.
