Good player quote from the D&D session I'm running:
PRIEST: (asks an idiot question)
THIEF: Don't you have to, like, go to school to be a priest?
PRIEST: I got expedited.
THIEF: I don't know what that means.
PRIEST (choking back a sob): Neither do I

A stylized topographic map showing a mountainous region of the US. The white areas are mountain peaks, the brown areas are more grassy or rocky areas, and the green dotted areas are forests. Blue lines mark rivers and lakes, and few black lines show roads traveling through the area.
Been testing out ideas for doing stylized maps of real places for a free Keyhole scenario. Mostly focusing on topography and terrain. This one I think finally got to where I like it!
A feline-bodied, centaur-like figure holds a bow and a cross-like sigil. A star hovers above the tail, and beneath the figure is a block of asemic text.
An archway rises above a cloudscape, containing a star and eyes. Above it, a ring-like angel with four wings weeps.
A block of colorful sigils and asemic text in a chaotic array, creating a gradient from red into blue.

It's basically function as is, but I want to add some spot art to fill the larger sections of whitespace at some point.
A blank character sheet very loosely based off of the character sheet for Mork Borg.
For #wipwednesday I sadly don't have a map to show off because my #ttrpg group decided last session they want me to run Reach of the Roach God. So Instead I've been working on a custom character sheet for that that will use a slightly homebrewed version of Mork Borg.
A fantasy map showing a peninsula with mountains, forests and cities with a meridional architecture. There are small illustrations of ships and sea monsters in the water. Some lore is written along the ornamented frame.

Digitally drawn map of The Shire
I drew this map a few years ago now, and looking back at it I can't help but feel it's still missing something. I still love it though, and one (of many) things I'd like to eventually do is a series of Middle Earth maps.
What's your favourite fictional world?
I'm glad you like them! Wanting to try out that style of forest was actually the inspiration for me to make the map in the first place.
A fantasy map of the fictional kingdom of Cirithna in black and white. The lands feature forests, hills and mountains. With a large bay and river splitting the land into to parts.
Woke up to over 200 followers. Thanks everyone! Here's a map I made that ended up getting use in a short #dnd campaign. Peaceguard used to be the capital, until the cruel king sealed himself inside and closed off the island. But that was 100 years ago so he's surely dead by now. Right? #fantasymaps
Currently in the process of doing a full run through of Labyrinth.os to make sure nothing is totally broken (there are many things broken).
A fantasy map of a river coursing through a jungle. On the river bank is a small village with boats pulled up on the shore. Out of the trees rise large cliffs topped with green plateaus.
It's been a while since I've had a map to post, but today I spent some of my lunch break roughing out an idea that's been in my head for a while. Heavily inspired by me finding my old A Thousand Thousand Islands zines.

My name is Dan. I am a writer and map maker for D&D and Pathfinder TTRPGs. If anyone is interested in my work, consider following or sharing this with your friends. My content is FREE for personal use.
In the time it took me to write this post he has already ripped the tail off of it. =P
My partner has a need to fiddle with and dismantle things while on long work calls.
Somehow this morning he found a lightbulb to play with. I had to take it away from him like when you find a dog chewing on something they shouldn't.
(Don't worry, I replaced it for him with one of our cat's toys)

What was the first #TTRPG that got you hooked? And, if you could go back and play it with fresh eyes, would you? Let's hear those origin stories and shout out the games that started it all!

When I was about 13 my dad got my younger brother and I the #dnd 3.5 starter box, and DMed the included adventure for us. Ever since then I've been in love with TTRPGs. Shortly after that I even started DMing for my dad and brother, I just couldn't stop.

Hi! I'm gonna repost some of the Fire Emblem maps I drew to not let them get drowned so much by my daily map challenge. Today, I'll be reposting here the three GBA FE maps that I drew earlier this year. I hope you like it!

A faux-medieval style map of the world of Mörk Borg.
This Halloween has me thinking about my #morkborg map I made for my home game last year. It was a great piece of art to have on the table as we (even me as the DM) lost our minds wandering the dying world.

Wanderhome, Sleepaway, Backpack Game, Last Train to Bremen, The Fall of Home, A Fae Caper, Our Haunt, Galactic 2e!
I'll make a thread about them in juuuust a sec :3
One of my favs is Kingpink, more specifically the Kingpink: Darkness version.
It's a card based co-op game where everyone builds a list of themes and then uses those to help narrate the conflicts and what their character does. Really easy to get started and play as a one off or as long as you want.
I love how you adapted the grid based maps into something that seems more natural, and your way of styling cliffs is very cool!
One of my favorite inspirations for horror is Mushishi, which does a kind of folk horror. A lot of the "monsters" in it are basically just animals that have their own supernatural ecosystems which humans accidentally stumble into.
