After a frustrating cold day on the N Staffs moors yesterday failing to see Ring Ouzels, the birding Gods took pity on me and @nickpom9.bsky.social found the 1st one for this year up Berryhill 👌🏻 Also 6 Wheatear in Pallet Stacks Paddocks. Ps this is back of Camara shot 👍🏻

Pleasant morning at Blithefield, the pair of Ring Necked Ducks were to far away for my camera so had to be content with this LRP. Other birds seen included Kittiwake, Mandarin, Goldeneye and Common Sand.

Went down to Hampshire for the Boat Tailed Grackle. I know it’s ship assisted and has no chance of getting on the British List, but it was full of character and a real stunner. Don’t understand why ship assisted birds can’t go on the British list 🤷🏻‍♂️

A brilliant couple of days of Dutch birding done ‘n’ dusted with @philsbirding.bsky.social Yesterday we got the main target the Specky Eider on Texel plus a Goose fest and today around Amsterdam region Black & Middle spotted peckers, Pygmy Cormorant, Firecrests, White Storks etc - Quality🙂
