My metric for tickets nowadays is mostly ‘can you get them on Dice’.

What’s concerning is this comes 13 years after Tomorrow’s Harvest, which was 8 years after The Campfire Headphase. Which means we’re on the bloody Fibonacci sequence and the next one won’t be until 2048.
I didn’t think we’d ever see the day
Is this why there’s suddenly been all this chatter about new Boards of Canada. They’re well into that sort of thing.
Now you’ve floated the idea of this, there’s nothing I want to hear more.
‘The Black Orb’ novel by Ewhan Kim, translated by Sean Lin Halbert.
Large orbs start appearing in Seoul and suck anyone they touch inside. South Korea descends into anarchy and cults.
Just back from seeing Ladytron do a launch show for the excellent new album ‘Paradises’ at the tiny Gorilla in Manchester. It’s well over an hour long yet somehow doesn’t drag, which is the sign of some kind of genius.
Omg nice one! Has the new gig been going well?
Excellent work sir
@flahr.bsky.social I think you might appreciate this but it’s best I don’t say where I found it
Post by me on the other site from 18:38 on 9 June 2024: Crazy to think Alcaraz already only needs an Australian Open and he’ll have the full set.
He’s only gone and done it. Keep up this pace and we’ll be looking at the record a few years down the line. #AusOpen
Bonne chance today!
Aus Open app’s had a proper glow-up, and praise be actually now works. That abomination of a couple of years back is a distant memory.
I’d want to see the Unnatural History Museum.
Incredibly, I’ve actually remembered this time. It’s a Christmas miracle.
Pre- Everything Everything pub chat: what would the bible have to say about jazz?
Dispiriting Sainsbury’s Christmas playlist has just been perked up by the appearance of ‘Sound and Vision’, so we can only assume an algorithm somewhere has taken ‘waiting for the gift’ a bit too literally.
Boooooooooo
If anyone’s keeping a list of list songs, this one covers both they days of the week and the months of the year youtu.be/8l7B6bCaqeE?...
Saw the German electro pop band SPARKLING last night in what surely is a much smaller venue than they’ll play next time they’re in London when everyone will want to join in the fun. The algorithm that decided I might want to hear them after I had a Digitalism afternoon did its work right.
My feet seem to have entered some netherworld between sizes, where nothing in the shop can venture.
Belatedly a happy birthday!
Where do I sign

Melon soda withdrawal symptoms setting in now.
Arigato Tokyo, it’s been incredible and definitely won’t be so long before I’m back.
No ready for the downer of returning home just yet so let’s start the way back with a few days in Taiwan.
Several cleared dishes at a kaiten sushi restaurant, including a stack of nine small white plates, a small cup of egg custard, three dessert plates, and a quarter-full glass of melon soda.
Best £15 I’ve ever spent.
Brit-in-Japan cliche incoming:
Thought I’d racked up an enormous bill on my first ever visit to a kaiten sushi bar. I’ve barely gone over a tenner.
Izakaya Fuwatoro in Osaka has a chaotic aura and food totally worth it. It’s like being inside Japanese TV with like four things going on at once. And a rubber chicken hanging from the ceiling.
My travel companion’s just got them to put Memory Tapes on in an Osaka record store and right now I’m a very happy person.
