“Call Me By Her Name” drag race acting challenge when? Each queen has to cry on command in front of a fireplace. Surprise: they all do amazing. No one goes home. Lip sync for the win.

Mickey 17 is not good.
“We as gay people get to choose our eating disorders.”
I think my issue was that the guy was not believably hot enough for her to risk it all. I understand that she’s getting something else from him, but he’s a rat face (which ok I can go for sometimes), but you’re going to go for that twerp when you’re getting railed by Antonio Banderas on the regs??
Despite me not really liking the movie.
It was really bad but it held my attention the whole time?
Despite lack of engagement this will likely become a Babygirl hot take account.
Spoiler warning, I guess??
I can’t figure out if the use of “Father Figure” in Babygirl is ironic or not, and this is actually a major determining factor of my feelings about the film.

When I was in grad school 2004-2012, a question we were asked constantly was “what is your archive?” It took me awhile to suss out that what was meant was essentially “what are you looking at and why” but I figured that was just one of the many pieces of disciplinary lingo one had to learn.

Maybe one of the reasons there are so many unhinged academics is that in order to keep your job, you’re constantly required to tout yourself as a Scholar of World-Historical Significance, even as your office’s ceiling tiles slowly dislodge themselves to fall on your head.
After 42 years, I think I’m finally ready to come out as shallow.
Happy birthday!!!
Awwwww shucks!!!!! Likewise!
😘
That’s exactly what I meant.
Real ones will know.
Ok see I read this very differently.
The Chronicle has been leaning more and more right for years now, it seems.
