Gay Lit - Special Genres - UCLA course I took in 1978. Guest lecturers in our small class of about 20 people consisted of John Rechy and Christopher Isherwood (separate occasions not together). Not so much lectures but personal interactions with the class. Go Bruins!

Is it gay literature because the author is gay? Is it gay if the theme is gay? Can non-gay people write gay lit and vice versa? When you take a gay lit course that's usually one of the early things discussed. Never really answered. Didn't have to be. Sometimes, things just are what they are.

Gay haircut is as confusing to me as the term gay literature.
