If you haven't already heard, the U.S. National Archives is making most of its microfilmed Nazi membership records (16 million digital objects) available online free of charge. It's not the cleanest of collections, but still an incredible resource for historians, students, and genealogists.
Jürgen Habermas, a philosopher and public intellectual who was one of the most influential and cited thinkers in postwar Germany, died on Saturday. He was 96.
