Since the last one went down so well here's a discarded WIP I quickly edited. There's technical flaws here but y'know whatever, TLOU2 Ellie is so damn photogenic it stuns me.

I can't decide if the outfit is hotter than the nudity, so this one will be a minute. Working on a pin-up using novel in-scene lighting methods.

Final post about it, but this image is kind aclear to me which version is superior. The differences are subtle, but still.

Yeah- I do have an idea for that. I was waiting for the PBR shader to pop off properly (see my latest post) so I could port some stuff correctly.

However, ficool2 over at the SFM discord has managed to work plugins into SFM, and consequently a PBR shader has been ported based on the work of the Zombie Master: Reborn team. This is an exceptional bit of news for SFM artists and modellers, and I look forward to making the most of it. (End)

SFM does not natively support PBR, and Source 1 as an engine has rarely had it outside of a few games, like Titanfall and Apex Legends. So any attempts to port models from a PBR-based engine require very hacky attempts to *approximate* accuracy. My old port was no exception. (cont)

For those who don't know, PBR is a rendering method/pipeline that became popular around the PS4 era that better imitates the effect of light on various surfaces, it's most noticeable on metallic and highly-reflective surfaces, but it alters the appearance of almost everything. (cont.)
