Grady made some odd changes himself, like renaming the A&P licensed character Tiara instead of Ginger, for no obvious reason. Maybe there were too may IRL Ginger Flynns.

Why did JABbereocky Literary Agency use html code instead of typesetting? 4 times on a page!

(This is from Badasstronauts, their uodated release of Grady Hendrix’s perfectly fine self-published Occupy Space.)

It's differently funny. The writing is technically better, though still lousy. It's so constantly wrong about everything and the text expresses something completely different from what is intended at all times, it's quite amusing. They are similar in a, "What the hell are you talking about?" way.

Keep AI out of book spaces (among all others). What purpose does this slop image possibly serve?

"Long, slender fingers" is by far the least of this book's literary crimes.

It's been well-covered before, but even so the @372pages.bsky.social experience of this modern classic is bound to be a hoot. Just the first page of the book is laughable. The next 480 pages also.

Panel one: Linus says, “one of the most important things in life is to have a pleasant word for everyone”.”
Panel two: Charlie Brown walks by and Linus says, “good morning Charlie Brown on your way to the library? “Charlie Brown responds: “uh-huh”. Third panel is Linus standing alone, quietly. Fourth panel: Linus calls after Charlie Brown, “Well, have a nice Library!”.

Hang on, is that what those stone frames were? I couldn’t find a purpose for them in the US version.

We’ve told all the casting agents that the Weird Al biopic sequel is currently on hold, but they just keep sending in headshots.

As much as I would like to agree, I’ll take a publisher throwing money at Noobtown over AI slop any day.

Andy Weir is going to be interviewed soon on the NYT Book Review podcast. They're taking questions for him at thebookreview@nytimes.com. A good time to ask why he didn't emphasize the Moon's gravity more.

I questioned everything I thought I knew about moon phases until the radio person said, “Eclipse.”
