“Cleaning up the risk pool” means letting sick people and old people and disabled people die. End of. There is no other meaning here.

I miss Hot Pursuit. They should bring Patty Spivot back and do a motorcycle cop across the multiverse miniseries.
OK, am I the only one that says “What in the incel hell is this bullshit?” every time a Pocket FM ad comes up on YouTube?
Also, is anyone else getting these at a frankly alarming frequency? I’ve blocked every one and I still get them like every other ad.
Check your local fancy imports dealer. I’m sure somebody traded up to a Lamborghini Urus or a G-Wagon.
I sat next to a half million dollar Maybach as I was filling out forms for a used VW.
It is absolutely too expensive for your average family car. Buying used (as we did) or leasing makes it much more reasonable. Chalk that up to standard import taxes, high trim levels, plus our current capricious gov’t killing EV incentives & adding tariffs. The NA redesign is supposed to lower price
I don’t understand the range argument. How often does one need more than 220 miles in a single go? Fast chargers exist along most major roadways and everybody needs to take a break to pee and walk around. Even daily driving, I’d be hard pressed to burn up 220 miles between sleeps.
Now price…
They’re just skipping the 2026 model year. It’s being redesigned for North America in 2027.
Do what we did, buy used! We got it at like 63% of retail with low mileage on a less than 1 year old car.

2025 VW id.Buzz
Recently got a VW id.Buzz, which I’ve decided is the anti-Cybertruck. Literally everyone smiles, waves, and points when we drive by. This car brings joy everywhere it goes.
Ironic that a car from the company Hitler founded is better received than the car from the company run by figurative Hitler.
They said "thirty years ago" then you said "1989" and my brain shut down.
God, I'm old.
One pound of ground beef now costs more on average than the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.
Brian Buccellato?
Sterling Gates?
LOL
In Knives Out, a detective works to solve the case of the murder of Harlan Thrombey, with the suspects being members of his family, vying for his fortune. Today I found this Choose Your Own Adventure book. This can’t be coincidence.
It's like the time I got called into the dean's office in college for "hacking."
I was running a Linux desktop. That's it. They saw Linux and assumed teh HaX0rZ!
This is so, so well-articulated.
The number of just regular ol' websites that I get blocked from connecting to because I use a personal VPN is staggering, and a little alarming.
How did I miss that CHVRCHES released an album in 2021?
I would love a mini series of Sgt Rock and Easy Company teaming up with the JSA in World War 2.
In space, no one can hear you scream… at Microsoft support.
You ever want to feel like a human wishbone?
I think the worst part about the times we live in is just how exhausting it is to just exist.
Hip abductor machine
Holy shit! Where did my hips go?!
I have always been very partial to Batman: Holy Terror. Not the Frank Miller one, the other one.
Batman as an Anglican priest fighting the Star Chamber with art by Norm Breyfogle? Heck yeah.
With all the rumblings of the supposed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, I decided to go back and play KOTOR.
Do I want a KOTOR game? Yes. Do I want a remake of KOTOR 1 or 2? Nope.
Honestly, just reboot the thing. Forget Revan and Bastilla and all the rest, just set it in that era.
