Been on Kagi for months bc Google search got trash with ads everywhere. With all this Google drama lately, looks like I made a good decision.

AI coding assistants are most valuable for the tasks developers find boring (boilerplate, docs, tests) but can be more problematic for complex logic where context really matters. Finding the right balance is still an art.
Don't understand people who don't like TypeScript tbh. It makes working on large codebases with multiple devs so much more manageable. Everyone just gets the expected data shapes.
Tested Gemini 2.5 Pro on some coding stuff today. Code generation surprisingly solid (didn't expect that from Google 😄). Not perfect, but impressive for complex tasks!

Dokploy looks promising as an open-source alternative to Vercel/Netlify/Heroku. Has anyone migrated production apps to it? Curious about real-world performance and reliability compared to commercial options. I'm very happy with Coolify but good to know alternatives
Design tokens have become essential for scalable frontend work. The rise of Tailwind CSS was one of the biggest drivers, but let's be real... in many codebases it's still just CSS class spaghetti 😅 Years in and it's still getting harder to read just to change something basic.
After 20+ years of coding, I've realized the most valuable skill isn't knowing every framework. I've learned many programming languages in school and at work (most are RIP😅) but what really matters? Knowing when to use the right tool for the job.
Introducing OctoGuide: A friendly bot that helps contributors adhere to GitHub repository best practices. 🐙🗺️
I've been maintaining open source repos for a decade now, and there are some common rules that I've learned the hard way to always enforce on my repos. A 🧵...

It’s sad and also funny to see that these people think they are not replaceable while all others are, but mostly they will be replaceable first in the system while top of these guys have a chance to make more money without them.
Spotify? No way. no while it’s european 🤦♂️ they are the lowest one who pays to the musicians and use AI to pay less and less to people

Hmm that’s true. I was just imagining like jest affected files checks so if any developer forgets to remove unused func or var on other changed files or affected files, then it could give an error or something
Hey Lars, is it possible to using knip on PR level? With husky or lint-staged?
Y Combinator is supporting an AI startup that is dehumanizing factory workers. In a video for the startup called Optifye[.]ai, a boss yells at a worker calling him just a number. Y Combinator has deleted its recent LinkedIn and X posts congratulating the company www.404media.co/optifyeai-yc...

People keep dissecting Elon’s “Roman Salute” meanwhile he’s at rallies with Germany’s right-wing party saying there’s “too much focus on past guilt” and “children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents, let alone their great-grandparents.”
When people show who they are, believe them.
I love seeing the amazing stuff open source maintainers create, like OpenRA!
New from 404 Media: hundreds of subreddits, including some of the most popular, are considering banning all links/content/screenshots from X/Twitter. r/NFL, r/hockey, r/baseball, r/nba, r/formula1, r/ComicBookMovies, r/MadeMeSmile, so many more. Some already have. www.404media.co/hundreds-of-...
I use moonlander for last 4 years I guess; first months were hard but definitely highly recommended now
Yeah it’s very obvious that they try to create some “personalised ads” to make more money. Super creepy

Elon Musk is a paid subscriber to an active pro-apartheid account.
There's no alternate context or gray area to something like this.
If you're not disgusted by this, you've picked your side of the line already.
Prioritize Bandcamp support (even 1€) over Spotify listening. Always.
