The kind of software most working developers build will remain dependent on skills learned by writing code imo. LLMs could be enormously helpful as a learning aid there, but the platforms will not invest in that because it's not what they're funded for.

One of the most annoying parts of the AI discourse for me is that LLMs could absolutely help people learn software development skills, but overwhelmingly not by generating code, that's the focus because it's the use case that promises to undermine labour.
