we really will just instantly anthropomorphise anything

I understand AI psychosis better now that I have instantly developed a deep affection for my robot vacuum
A medieval styled knight sits atop a horse, with arrows sticking out of him. The text reads: GET ON THE HORSE WE'RE MAKING HURTY FEELY TROPE GAMES. The Romantasy TTRPH Jam, starts 30th April 2026.
So I have made the jam page and have a few checks to make before I hit publish, but.......GET ON YOUR HORSES. JOIN ME. (It will run until August, so you'll have plenty of time!)
actually to make it funny the implicit (presumably ultimately explicit) subplot would probably have to be about a player/all the players trying to stage a coup against the GM
loooong rules lawyer debate between a player and a GM
Artistic interpretation of the three of swords tarot card. A golden warrior wielding one of the swords is bursting out from a heart, red clouds rain drops of blood at the top, and there are eyes lurking in a crowd of ominous people in the background.

That´s right folks: We are officially looking for more freelance artists to help us with upcoming projects.✍️

have another city of mist campaign idea :/
What begins as a high-minded attempt to pursue vermiculture and home baking quickly devolves into nothing but cannabis and wanking by March
It's a reminder that 90% of game design is playtesting. Is the goal intuitive? What do players naturally want to do? Is there an unforeseen degenerative strategy, a social Nash Equilibrium that is incredibly boring? And for their purposes - are all these elements visual? Does it make good tape?
The group I spend all my time playing with is finally on bluesky! if you’re London-based, come play with us 💕
“The shuttering of Hampshire College … feels different, not so much another liberal arts domino falling as the symbolic end of a whole tradition of progressive education in the US.” www.nybooks.com/online/2026/...

I made a "chimera selector" out of cardboard.
I will draw temporary tattoos on people for an event so it is kind of my flash sheet.

I want to figure out how to keep doing research, which I love, and writing, which I love, without being confined by academic formats, which I hate… but also achieving a level of rigour that I feel proud of. Perhaps that’s what I need to learn to let go of
I did apply for One Last Academic Post that would have let me research a little more broadly and creatively than English jobs would and obviously didn’t get an interview, and I have one more article to finish that really pushes the limits of what can be considered “professional” academic writing
This is splendid. I’ve been thinking a lot about what my relationship to research is now and I love this framework www.personalcanon.com/p/research-a...
It's a serious game supplement for serious roleplayers.
Are you a content creator, Actual Play channel, or media outlet? We’d love to get you a copy of the Soothwardens QuickStart or work with you on game coverage!

I’m facilitating Extra-Ordinary! Come play!!
Losing SLACs (small liberal arts colleges) is absolutely a sign of American academia's decline and the gutting of the humanities in particular.
I'm pretty sure SLACs are a uniquely American phenomenon. Most countries don't have hundreds of small, non-research-oriented colleges dedicated to teaching.
Truly. Everyone I know who went to Hampshire is smart and weird, and I worry-- for this and many other reasons-- that we are building a version of higher education that simply has no place for the smart and the weird.
Just putting this idea out there....
Would any AP creators be down for me sitting in on recording sessions or listening to raw recordings for study purposes? I've been working on writing down the theory of Actual Play artistry and it would be incredibly helpful for the process!
I’m going to be facilitating a GMless game on the server as part of the con, so join now to get to sign up and play with meeeee
now I'm thinking about systems that are emulating other open-ended genres... could you play Monster of the Week for 9 years like X-Files?
Fluid Realities is a minimalist game about the secret war between modern mages in a 90's gothic-punk world.
This is an homage to the classic Mage: The Ascension using the rules of John Harper's Lasers & Feelings. ⬇️
yeah that's the limiting factor! though you could in theory hop from playbook to playbook...
The blogclave has started. Who will be the new blog pope?
Here to make a bold statement: the cleric class sucks.

Ah, yes, I think I see what you're saying now, and we are indeed talking about different things I think!
