Often groups like MW have in-house sound designers / creative engineers who work full time. They post hiring opportunities every so often. There was an open position at MW in 2023 if I remember correctly.

One time I dropped my phone on that controller during the 20-min blackout in AFTER. There was about a 90% chance of jumping to a lights-at-full scene and blinding the entire audience. I was very lucky. Non sequential interfaces are not for the faint of heart!

My god I recognized my 10-year old handwriting without even clicking on the photo. You know we use the same controller for ALL of the shows, right?

A long black horizontal loudspeaker array with small drivers every 2 inches. 5 speaker stands hold up the array. Some curtains behind the array and some boxes on the floor. The room is a bit cluttered. Looks like a photo from a load-in (which is true).

Wave field synthesis array 1 of 3 (372 individual channels total) for an installation. Custom built speakers.

I experienced this at MASS MoCA! It was there for years.

I've been keeping up with the members ever since. Both Rachel Grimes and Christian Frederickson put out solo works. Lots of stuff on their bandcamps. Definitely recommend digging through.
