Yes, this! He's absolutely the type to believe in "leagues", so when he "clocks" that she's way out of his, he sends this so that when she (inevitably) blows him off, he can say he didn't want her to begin with because she was a low value female who didn't meet his standards.

While I truly love that for you and your wife, I feel that the tone of this post is more about the damage that societal expectation does to women. Does your wife maybe have some thoughts on how to help others get to that level of security with themselves?
Ugh, I'm sorry you're dealing with that. It's definitely uncomfortable at first, but you can get used to it. You should also be able to adjust the amount of pressure, but I don't know if that's model-specific.

This man isn't asking anything about his wife. He's asking folks if they think this "friend" like-likes him. He's doing the exact thing one does when they're talking to their bestie about someone they're interested in and trying to determine what certain words or actions *mean*.

Yeah, the concern with this post is there will be some people who were cheated on who will *believe* that they're somehow partially responsible, especially those who've already been blamed by their garbage cheating partners for "letting themselves go". :(

I honestly assumed this was a woman pointing out the inequality of the experience between men and women, showing how women are left holding the bag while the men go trotting off to find their next victim. Jesus christ.

The visceral fury this fills me with. Nevermind the truly absurd notion that these animals are at a shelter because THEY, not the HUMANS, were "bad". Evil and ignorant all wrapped up in one.
