luckily i think this redesign is way more appealing and interesting too so its a win in every regard lets hope that this rigs nicely

so i went to rig him right and realized that his build was NOT good for rigging at all so i ended up redoing his body a lil bit so here we are at the moment

i got a new mouse that has a working scroll wheel again so im back in my 3d flow it feels so good. it feels so good

im at the point where im finishing up on the bulk of the gameplay programming and i have to eventually move on to making music and the visuals which i am TERRIFIED of doing because i have to do 3D stuff. which. IVE DONE but like Argh doing 3d is freaky stuff

i have since made much progress on things heres a short video of what i have rn im super proud of how i got the camera to behave considering its all procedural and im also super proud of the code itself everything is squeaky clean (i like to think so at least)

i think unity is so nice and i love godot but unity just feels so much more solid and capable i think im sticking with unity this time around

2 days later im almost done porting what i had in godot over to unity

though i will say ive been trying to find my footing in unity again and im making good progress trying to rebuild what i had in haxe in unity so we'll see how that goes

lets keep our expectations low though because i know how i am and taking on something as ambitious as turning a mod into a whole game built on a completely seperate engine is insane work and something i have to really commit to

dont tell anyone but ive been thinking about making my little mod with the stage editor into a standalone game
