Party fought the Arixx with 4 victories. It was a bloodbath. Should have taken out that green Elementalist sooner.

To whomever needs to hear this: If you think to yourself that, yes, people are being hacked online but I'm not that important to hack; that's like saying that people crash into each other on the road but I'm not that important to crash into.

The questions should be: Does the scarcity of light contribute to the drama and serves the themes of the game?
If so, time the torches. If not, players can see unless specifically stated.

My always example of "better just go home" is from my first job in games. I stayed at work up to 2130, wrestling with a problem. Went home, slept, came back in the morning, solved it in 10 minutes.

Just make components that give data and verbs. Entities are just a collection of components. Yes, some components could be very specific but it's much easier to design and manage this way and it can also be a boon for performance.
