There is a dead skunk (roadkill) on my street and it has been there for well over a week and it still smells like skunk every time I drive by. What is with the pervasiveness, even postmortem, of skunk smell?
Seeing the many, many terrible takes from The Pitt fans who are now watching ER is making me so glad there was no real social media when ER originally aired. We had forums with rules, like a society.
I have a whole TED talk about how TV changed almost not at all from my dad's childhood (born 1944) to mine (3 major networks, 20+ episode seasons with summer reruns) but the "TV" my kids have now has nothing in common with what my dad and I had. And also my kids don't watch even one regular TV show.
Buffalonians are the only people I will allow to indulge this cheese in 2026. Everyone else can go to hell.

Bought new sandals and was horrified when they were super tight across the top of my feet like is this ANOTHER body horror of aging that no one told me about? Your feet get extra wide? Turns out the sandals are adjustable and my feet are fine.
At the salon, listening to a guy mansplain wrongly to his stylist that Gerry McNamara wasn't on the Syracuse team that won the national championship. Like he corrected her a couple of times and she was right.

Wish I had video editing talent because I'm watching the ER episodes where Abby relapses and Maura Tierney's mannerisms when playing drunk are so much like Sally Fields (who played her mom), it's uncanny.

Went to a movie Friday and the boomer next to me couldn't figure out the button and her husband had to rescue her at the end of the movie. I, a genius, had my teen demonstrate it before the movie started.
Girl, I feel you. The car rides were the worst because I couldn't escape. I called it "needless noise". The bad news is, at 16, the loudest twin is still loud. He is just yelling at his friends online and I can put in earbuds because it's less likely to be an emergency. Sending strength.

The true gift of starting the episode 30 minutes late is I got to FF through anything Zac Brown. The amount of time spent with NO CONTESTANTS on screen was truly bizarre.
Shout out to my girl Cirie, who spent most of the reward challenge hanging onto the ladder while her tribe won first place. She is the work smarter not harder queen. They didn't need her puzzle skills so she just avoided dragging them down.
