people are arguing over classes of e-bikes when the actual scourge is all the unclassed e-motos which have nothing to do with a 60-lb cargo bike that doesn't have a throttle and is nearly impossible to get over 20 even if theoretically it doesn't cut off power until 28.

i can't reply to anyone so just a reminder that Class 3 ebikes (which yes can go up to 28mph) don't have throttles. it would really suck if my bike were suddenly rendered illegal because people don't understand ebike classes.
i get passed by *acoustic* bikes all the time.
Oh no!!!
*walk, obvs
work conference is in Detroit next weekend and the people mover is not running 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
sad for me because i wanted to ride it and sad for me because all the attendees are gonna complain to us about how far they have to talk from the hotel to the convention center
Sure would be nice to take an e-divvy for less than $10 but apparently that’s not the use case for divvy 🙃
Sign at the kimball blue line station showing the next three Belmont buses are coming in 24, 25, and 28 minutes.

Not the random one-off fireworks, but he's not a huge fan of 4th of July when it's close and loud and everywhere around us. But even a small rumble of thunder has him on high alert; he'll start to get skittish when he hears a lot of rain or wind.
One of our CATS (dear sweet weirdo and medical mystery Milton) is scared of thunder! I've never heard of a cat scared of storms before, but he hides in the basement when it's bad.
I really wanna bike to work today but it’s not looking like this rain will let up in time (If i bike in, i shower at work so i have to leave earlier than if i shower at home and take CTA)
hell yeah
Small black old Volkswagen pickup truck with orange and yellow stripes across the side and an off white bed cap that also has orange and yellow stripes. All in all it has a very 70s/early 80s feel.

i've mostly been symptom free for a few days in a row and this stupid oatmeal bar has fucked that all up.
i was already grumpy about losing so much of my sunday to meal prep and now i don't even get all the benefits of having done so
i want to cry (which i know sounds melodramatic but this reflux shit is really fucking me up). tried to make my week easier but they are barely edible and that much cinnamon is clearly making my reflux worse so 18 fucking oatmeal bars down the drain i guess
i think the reflux specialist RD who made these supposed reflux friendly recipes was using some seriously old jar of cinnamon to develop them.
good LORD these oatmeal bars have too much. i should have trusted my instincts to cut it way back.
with Chicago Pope we should have known it was only a matter of time before he'd face bad faith claims about crime
still to do:
2 more loads of laundry
taxes
make dinner
make progress on e-book that’s due in 3 days
i’m so tired.
✅ went to the gym
✅ meal prepped breakfast cookies
✅ meal prepped spinach feta egg white bites
✅ made hard boiled eggs for weekday lunches
✅ washed and folded 1 large load of laundry
❌ did not meal prep barley salad (have enough food, i think)
❌ did not power wash the grill (too windy)
This show was SO FUN.
Two men on stage wearing shorts, one on the right at the microphone in a black t-shirt and the one on the left shirtless with a guitar around his neck, pointing at the crowd with both hands, bathed in pink light. The crowd in front of them all have their hands up in the air.

Being angry about other people liking a band is wild, and, like, what’s the judgment here? Is the band a sellout because they have a hook? Should people, therefore, not listen to them?
I would love to see them live because presentation *is* part of the entertainment.
I like Angine de Poitrine (as of very recently) but overall the “I’m so cool i heard of this last year“ or “that isn’t even the best example of the genre, you idiot loser” is too reminiscent of the alt/punk 90s and hipster 2000s for me to take seriously.
also annoyed this book is so focused on weight loss. what about those of us with gerd who are not overweight? the recipes look much less restrictive, but not sure if that’s because this guy is relying on weight loss to improve symptoms.
really annoyed at the library patron who underlined and marked this cookbook with pen! I am sorry that you too are suffering from acid reflux but why did you have to write in a book you don’t own
my first ever noodle Alina Beans was a broken hock girlie and i don't think even hers was that bad. i'm sure that as the breeding pool has decreased it's gotten harder to breed for good structure.
WOW I have never seen a hound's legs that bad!
Ooh good to know for when i'm no longer on a very strict acid reflux diet
I put a fried egg on the oatmeal and again, it was fine, but if I want a whole grain porridge to eat savory with egg, cheese, whatever, grits are by far superior for that purpose.
I’m trying savory oatmeal for the first time this morning and it’s fine but nothing will ever beat real (not instant) oatmeal with a tiny pat of butter, brown sugar, and a splash of milk.
Spending the evening with friends and not looking at my phone since 6pm last night always leads to such confusion trying to put the timeline together the next morning.
Also I recommend it (spending an evening with friends, that is)
